We have so many great restaurants not only in Vegas, but here in Henderson as well. Here’s your chance to let everyone know about that special place you seem to go back to again and again. Sushi? Burgers? Pizza? Steaks? This will be really helpful to newer residents not so familiar with our area, but for the old-timers as well. It’s always nice to hear about a new place; especially if it’s highly recommended.

Had a great lunch at the new Toasted and Roasted in the Calico Ridge shopping center. They serve breakfast and lunch and great, fresh-roasted coffee. Really good food! The owner, Dan, said he’d like to offer all Heritage residents a 10% discount. Just let them know you’re a Heritage resident when you sit down. If the server doesn’t know, just tell her that it comes from Dan.

Jane & Larry Pallen - AZZURA Cucina Italiana - Water Street

We visited Azzurra Cucina Italiana for the first time recently.  We were absolutely delighted with the service, ambiance and food.  It’s a small boutique restaurant, located on Water Street in Henderson.  They’re open Monday through Saturday, from 4PM to 10PM.  They have a generous happy hour from 4PM – 6PM with a nice selection of food and drinks to sample.   We had the veal parmesan, spaghetti and meatballs and an interesting starter – chicken drummies over risotto.  Very generous servings and every bite was absolutely delicious!  Reservations are required and you’ll need to book it in advance, as it fills up quickly.  We’re so happy to have this fabulous Italian restaurant so close to home!

Rick & Karen Morton - AZZURA WINE BAR - Water Street

Most people know about the wonderful Azzura Italian restaurant at the end of Water Street. So good. But you might not know about their new Wine Bar. We had a fabulous time there on Saturday. It’s a great atmosphere, some really nice people, terrific wine list and amazing small bites. The charcuterie board was the best ever and the meatballs (from Azzura) are to die for. Manager, Sam, the beautiful smiling woman on the left, Jay, the chef and bartender, Ivan, take such great care of everyone. It really is a wonderful place to hang out for a couple of hours with friends and to meet new people. At the end of Water Street.

Diane & X Ecker - Panavino- Las Vegas

This is our go to for a special night out or with visiting guests. We’ve been going to them since 2002. The expansive windowed front of the restaurant offers views of the airport & the Strip, so it is especially nice in the evenings. They offer a variety of meats & seafood, homemade pasta dishes, and have a selection of Vegetarian/Vegan/Gluten Free items on the menu. The bar/lounge area offers a sizable happy hour food menu. There is also a gourmet deli café with a full menu on the other side of the building. You won’t be disappointed with the service, atmosphere, food & beverages.

Diane & X Ecker - Los Olivos Ristorante - Las Vegas

Wonderful restaurant we’ve been going to for years. Family owned & run with consistently delicious food which arrives to your table freshly made & piping hot. They will make accommodations to dietary needs and have made me a Gluten Free Eggplant Parmesan which was excellent.  It is a hidden gem. Make reservations as seating is limited and booked to capacity regularly.

Front of Lazy Dog restaurant
Rick & Karen Morton - Lazy Dog - Town Square

Lazy Dog was our go-to restaurant when we lived in California. We were there at least once a week, either for dinner or lunch or Happy Hour at the bar. Never once had a bad meal. My favorites were the burger and the chicken tenders. We’re talking a real, half-pound medium rare burger and amazing fries. Karen loves the Tex Mex salad. We were thrilled to find not one, but two Lazy Dog restaurants here; one in Summerlin and one in Town Square. Promise… you won’t be disappointed.

Danni Caldwell - Hola Cocina + Cantina - Southern Highlands

A holiday visitor requested a Mexican restaurant with good elote (street corn), and after an online search, I decided we should try Hola Cocina +Cantina at 10530 Southern Highlands Pkwy, Las Vegas.  Although a bit of a drive, 30 minutes from Heritage, this restaurant is worth the trip for their varied menu, great drinks and unique decor.  The elote is delicious as is every entree we have tried, most of their menu is either gluten free or can be made that way, and the drinks are tasty.  Service is good and they have indoor and patio seating. If you find yourself on the south end of the valley, and you want some good Mexican food, you should definitely try Hola.

Val & Sharon Terry - Vic's Italian Bistro - Symphony Park

If you like tasty food, great service and enjoy great Jazz, then you should try Vic’s. We have eaten there with friends from the Heritage neighborhood and can recommend the Rotisserie Chicken, Salmon, Bone-in Ribeye, and Braised Pork. Check out their online menu covering a large variety.

Mike Schwartz - Fratelli's Pizza - Water Street

Fratelli’s is at the very end of Water Street, just past the courthouse. If you like real New York pizza, this is as close as you’re going to get outside of Brooklyn. We had a large pepperoni which was just the right amount for the four of us. Also had a delicious Italian salad served family style. It’s a family owned place and everyone is very friendly. This is definitely now the only place we’ll go for pizza.

Patty Bowman - MoMo Sushi - 550 N Stephanie St .

We love Momo Sushi! We have been going there for over 14 years so they know us by name and what we like to order.  We always order the Mexico City with a little extra sriracha, the Lovely DSC (no rice dish), a bowl of edamame lightly salted, crab ragoons and hot sake (for me only)!  It is a standing order that we just love when we are in the mood for sushi!  They will also make a Golden Knights roll and a Raiders roll that are both quite tasty! The staff is on the ball and very friendly. If you like Japanese food, this is the place to go and close to home!

W eat here once a week and always order their Greek chicken salad for lunch which is truly amazing and big enough to share. The flavors of the chicken and the entire salad are mouth-wateringly delicious. For dinner there’s really good falafel, gyros. babaganoush, souvlaki and lots more. This is definitely one of our favorite restaurants in Henderson local.
